B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering

Electronics & Communication Engineering incorporates the application of Mathematics and science to the fields of electronics and communications. At the College of Engineering, B.Tech Electronics and Communication engineering encompasses all the facets of research, design, and testing of diverse electronic equipment and systems. To give a brief overview, ECE deals with electronic devices and their circuits.
The advanced curriculum for this four-year degree program has been very precisely designed by IKG Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. The students under the banner of ECE are taught the subjects like Communication, Power sector, VLSI Design industry, Electronics, Research & Development, Sensor systems, internet, digital technology, security systems, Robotics, etc. Having these aforementioned subjects means that the students get well-versed in the concepts of basic electronics, development of microprocessors, microwave engineering, analogue integrated circuits, antennae & wave progression, solid state devices, satellite communication and many more. College of Engineering at CGC has well-appointed laboratories which help in lifting the practical pedagogy for the students. Owing to the nonpareil teaching and unmatched curriculum, the students become competent to join various organizations as Service engineers, Network Planning engineers, R&D Software engineers, Software Analysts, Technical directors, etc.

One must have 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects with one of the following subjects – Computer Science, Bio-technology, Chemistry, Biology to be eligible to pursue B.Tech course. Students who have cleared diploma in any engineering trade from the Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET) Longowal or Punjab State Board of Technical Education or from any other State Board of Technical Education or two years certificate course from SLIET are eligible to pursue the bachelor’s course in any chosen stream.
