Guest Lecture on “Internet of Things”

Event Objective: Department of CSE, CGC COE organized an Expert Session on “IOT and its benefits” on 6th August, 2019. The event was organized to introduce the unique opportunity for students to understand the concepts, and opportunities in the field of IOT. The benefits and opportunities of IOT were highlighted. About the event: The Talk was attended by more than 100 students of B-Tech CSE branch. The session emphasized on proper understanding about the various benefits and opportunities of “INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT)” and the major opportunities associated with it. A very special session was delivered by, Dr. Deepak Sharma. He completed his degree from B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra and M.Tech. from MNIT, Jaipur. He is a Scientist at CSIO-CSIR, Chandigarh. He introduced students to the benefits of Internet of Things. He gave a lot of general knowledge about the current situation and employment issues and how to overcome them. Students really enjoyed the session and were excited for further interactions. Director Principal CGC-College of Engineering Prof.(Dr.) Vikas Dhawan, Head of Department CSE Prof.(Dr.) Anuj Gupta, appreciated the efforts done by all the faculty coordinator Ms. Reecha Sood and the student coordinators. Event Outcome: This talk was able to demonstrate the worth of various benefits of “Internet of Things”.
