INSTITUTE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
CGC College of Engineering believes that spreading information and skills to students is only one aspect—the other being the cultivation of humanity and social consciousness. ISR encompasses a range of activities and initiatives aimed at benefiting society, promoting sustainability, and addressing social challenge. Actively embracing social responsibility the institution has been making significant contributions for bringing positive social and environmental changes. We stand to instill values of responsibility, empathy, and citizenship in our students and staff. Recognizing its role towards society CGC COE, Landran, Mohali undertakes initiatives towards the benefit of the society at large from time to time.
ISR Activities
CGC College of Engineering organizes various activities to make students sensitive about their role towards society. The various activities are:
- Awareness camps and lectures in nearby villages for personal hygiene, women empowerment and water conservation.
- Celebrating days like Environment Day, Ozone Day, Water Day, and Earth Day and also organize Marathons and Tree plantation drives to make students understand the value of natural resources.
- Distributing stationary kits to underprivileged students to make them realize their right to education.
- Seminars and guest lectures on Mental Health or Art of Living are organized for students under various clubs.
- Various activities are organized under NCC and NSS to boost students’ morale and self confidence.
