ENGINEERING PHYSICS LAB
Physics lab for B.Tech first year students in Applied Sciences Department is well equipped with the latest apparatus prescribed in PTU syllabus. Major apparatus include Spectrometer for finding refractive index of a material, B-H curve apparatus, Dielectric Constant apparatus and Tangent galvanometer etc.
ENGINEERING CHEMISTRY LAB
The Engineering Chemistry lab has been set up for B. Tech. first year students for performing various physical chemistry experiments. Experiments are designed to determine the hardness and chlorine present in water and preparation of some useful compounds like Bakelite. The major equipments in the lab are flash point apparatus, PH meter, Muffle furnace, Oven and redwood viscometer
PPS LAB
To familiarize the students of all branches in engineering with computer organization, operating systems, problem solving and programming in C++. Two labs in PPS have been set up in the department to create world class computing infrastructure for the enhancement of technical knowledge in field of Computer Science and Engineering.
ENGINEERING COMPUTER GRAPHICS LAB
CG Lab in the Applied Sciences Department deals with the hands-on experience of Auto CAD Software to fully explore and understand the features of simple geometrical objects, Machine parts and their assembly. The lab comprises a number of exercises to be individually carried out on computers by the students.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS LABORATORY
Communication Skills Laboratory is set up with a purpose to enhance the communication skills of students and to make them globally efficient in interacting with others and presenting themselves in various occasions. The purpose of the language lab is to brush-up the communication skills of students, to enable them to perform in group discussions and to prepare themselves for job interviews etc. by transforming their personality.
BASIC ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING LABORATORY
To give a basic knowledge of circuits, transducers, semiconductor devices, BEEE lab have been set up in Applied Sciences Department. Major Apparatus include DC regulated power supply, Resonance apparatus, LVDT trainer kits, BH curve apparatus, Transistor Characteristics apparatus, Thermo Couple trainer Kits, Analog trainer Kits, Digital Trainer Kits, Single Phase Induction Motor, DC motor starters, Open and Short circuit test Kits, Fluorescent Light Kit etc.
MANUFACTURING PRACTICE WORKSHOPS
Various workshops like Carpentry and Pattern Making, Foundry Shop , Forging Practice, Machine Shop Welding Shop Electrical and Electronics Shop Sheet Metal and Fitting shop have been set up to enhance the in-depth knowledge of students in the area of Design & Manufacturing technologies.
